Recognize this little one?

Oh my how they grow so fast!!!! This little guy is one of my favorite models. His newborn image occupies a nice 3×4 foot space in my studio reception area and is in many of my advertising and marketing materials. I can’t believe how much he has grown. This family is amazing and so fun to follow and to know. It is an absolute HONOR to be their family photographer.

Here’s his famous newborn image…

Little Miss Personality!

Talk about a fun session! This little one is so cute and full of personality. The best part was how she burst into a huge smile whenever daddy smiled and played with her. Oh I just love her! Don’t you think this could be an ad or something?

Til next time - jen

Happy Mondays are back!

I’ve missed a few Mondays, but I have also missed Happy Monday. I really miss it. It brings a bit of reality into my life to think of 3 things that make me happy each week. So this week…

1. Fall is in the air and is finally here in So Cal and I love it! Crisp mornings, breezy days, white puffy clouds and everything pumpkin!
2. Salted Carmel Hot Chocolate from Starbucks. Have you tried this? It is AMAZING!!!! It tastes like chocolate covered pretzels.
3. Dinner, a movie and a frozen yogurt with my 12 year old daughter. We had a mom/daughter night on Friday and I loved spending one on one time with my sweet girl.

Expecting…

Just one maternity shot that I LOVE!

Another cute family

It’s that time of year! I get to see all of my favorite families who come back to see me year after year. It’s really one of my favorite things about my job - watching these families grow and change. This session was fun…it feels so much like Fall to me. Even though it’s been like 100 degrees this week. This day was cool and we barely made it before the rain. We actually had to run and take cover once or twice. This little one has the cutest red hair and the bluest eyes. She’s such a beauty!

My new favorite location

These were taken at the San Juan Mission and I am so in LOVE!!!! The landscaping is so beautiful and the mission has so much texture and great light for portraits. If you’d like a great spot for a family session this is it!  By the way, this gal is one of my favorite people, she owns Pure Pilates and she kicks my butt into shape and keeps me on my toes. If you want a great workout, you should try it out!

Just a couple

Just look at how cute this little guy is! Doesn’t he look scrumptious?

So, I did shoot a wedding…

First, let me clarify…I am NOT a wedding photographer. I don’t claim to be and I don’t normally shoot weddings. This wedding was an exception! This is the daughter of one of my dearest friends in the whole world and I would do anything for her…thus, I did photograph her daughter’s wedding. I actually enjoyed it! Weddings are a whole different ballgame than what I normally do. What I really enjoyed about this day was being a part of a day that meant so much to this family. I guess I just love what I do!

There’s a bunch of images here, sorry for the long post…you can view their slideshow here.

  2. Tammy Chavies wrote: You may not normally do weddings but you did an awesome job! Your pictures are wonderful. I also did a wedding this past weekend and I don't normally do weddings either. I felt the same way. It was a lot of fun but a whole different ballgame! Great job! (10/15/08, 3:08 pm)

Sweet newborn

Here’s a sweet one. He was so sleepy…

Have a great weekend everyone!

Family in studio

I have done so many family shoots lately! It’s that time of year I guess. This one was a family that won a silent auction at my son’s school. I love supporting local schools and charities, it’s a great way for me to give back to the community and get to know more people. Anyway, these boys were a bit tough to get loosened up at first, but once we got going I think they’d admit that it was pretty fun. :)
